Linda L. Gottschall, a beloved member of the community, passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on February 12, 1941, in Paradise, Pine Grove Twp, Linda was the daughter of Karl K. and Iva A. Heinbach Krammes. She was a loving wife to Joseph H. Gottschall, Sr., and a cherished mother, sister, and friend.

Early Life and Marriage

 

Linda’s journey began in Pine Grove, where she graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1958. In May 1964, she married Joseph H. Gottschall, Sr., and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship. Linda’s warm and caring nature endeared her to all who knew her.

Work and Family Life in Emmaus

After their marriage, Linda and Joseph moved to Emmaus, where they built a life filled with love and joy. While raising their family, Linda dedicated herself to being a loving homemaker and also worked in the cafeteria of the local high school and junior high school. Later, she joined Rodale Press Inc., where she worked in the mailroom and customer service for many years. Linda’s dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did.

Return to Schuylkill County

In 1996, Linda and Joseph returned to Schuylkill County, their beloved hometown. They embraced their roots and reconnected with family and friends. Linda’s warm smile and kind heart continued to touch the lives of those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, playing cards, and participating in community activities.

Linda will be deeply missed by her daughter, Holly Gattone, her five grandchildren, Cody Gattone, Megan, Delaney, Mason, and Molly Gottschall, her sister Jane Spink, and her companion Dale Krause. Although Linda has left this world, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The funeral services for Linda L. Gottschall will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove. Calling hours will be from 2pm-4pm, followed by a ceremony at 4pm. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
