Three individuals were apprehended by the Delhi Police’s crime branch and the Rajasthan Police in a joint operation. The primary suspects in the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the leader of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, were among those arrested. As per law enforcement, a woman, allegedly part of a criminal gang, was detained on Monday in connection with the murder of the Karni Sena leader, Sukhdev Singh. The trio was then presented before a local court and were given into police custody for a period of seven days. The duo who allegedly carried out the murder, Udham Singh Fauji and Rohit Rathore, were apprehended on Saturday night from sector 22 in Chandigarh.
The woman accused has been identified as Pooja Saini. According to Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, Saini and her spouse, Mahendra Meghwal, allegedly provided the firearms to Fauji. Fauji had resided at the couple’s rented property in Jaipur’s Jagatpura area for approximately a week before the murder happened on December 5. Additional Commissioner of Police Kailash Chandra Bishnoi stated that Fauji arrived in Jaipur on November 28 and met with Meghwal, who brought him to the flat in Jagatpura. Authorities reported that Fauji maintained contact with the criminal, Rohit Godara, via Meghwal, as per the news agency PTI.
Godara, part of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, confessed to the murder of Gogamedi in a social media post, claiming that the Karni Sena leader was supporting his rivals. The police revealed that Meghwal had procured over six firearms and a large number of cartridges. They mentioned that Fauji received two pistols and corresponding magazines for Rathore, along with one pistol and two magazines for himself. Early on December 5, Meghwal dropped Fauji off on Ajmer Road, where Rathore was already waiting. Subsequently, the two armed men were driven to Gogamedi’s residence in Jaipur’s Shyam Nagar area, who was the head of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
